The purpose of staff development is to provide the opportunity for improved curriculum and instruction, to create fundamental shifts in how teachers deliver information to students, and to create a culture in which teachers are open to learning about and trying new educational initiatives. Lisle School District #202 staff development is both building and district based. This means that each building identifies goals that they wish to achieve for their particular building and the District Administration and School Board identify goals in which they feel all buildings should be working to accomplish.
